Hi Bill. Oh so Mastery, Bob has passed away. I knew he was sick an in hospital. He was very prolific on this site and did very well. May he rest in peace.
Thanks for sharing and writing such a fun piece to his memory. Ulla:)))

Well done, Bill. This is a wonderfully clever tribute to Bob who gave us our favorite detective Cleve Hawkins. I loved the line about Mo in the tribute.
"I figured he'd be a gumshoe until Mo figured out she'd have to hire him to get his attention."
Yes, We will miss Bob, another member of our brave fighting Marine Corps. God Bless his family and friends. Nancy:)
I was trying to remember the name of Cleve's homeless friend. "Jeebers?" Or something like that. It was a nice touch in the book.

Jeeber was his cop pal and Deckle was his homeless friend.

Right. Well, at least I got a name right. LOL
Thanks for the answer. We will miss Bob.

It should be six stars, Bill. This is such an apt tribute. You know I have created a book "Memories of Mastery" to which you might want to add another piece. BTW he died on July 8th. Your tribute is so unique. Thanks for sharing.

I read his obituary online as July 1.

His wife called me on July 11th, three days before the funeral, and said he passed last Thursday on July 8th. Someone made a mistake.

What a wonderful, moving tribute. May Mastery swim with the stars and light our little world once in a while. You have honored him and sent him a message that he was loved and revered. Great work!

Bob was a writer in his genera, and many followed his work. I can only hope He knew the Lord on a first-name basis. Thanks for sharing your work. Pray for strength for his family.

Bill,
It is so sad to hear the Bob has died. He was a great writer. I read all his books and was looking forward to his next chapter. He was helpful and encouraging. He will be missed
This is a good witty story in honor of him. I bet Cleve was a much better detective than these two. I like the use of his bood titles in the poem at the end.
Keep writing and stay healthy
