"These flowers/weeds are lovely things,
and when I see them, my heart sings."
This is a lovely poem about those flowers in your garden. So glad that you enjoy them. I feel that way about a lot of the wild flowers, some people call them weeds, but I enjoy them. Very well done on this type of poem.

I do, too. They can call them weeds if they like. I think they're lovely flowers waiting to be recognized. Thanks so much, Anne.

Hello Yvonne.

I don't know about the poetry style and the name of the flower/weed escapes me. I wouldn't be able to identify the plant even if I tripped over it.

In my park there are areas reserved for flowering weeds and they are pretty and natural and should not be overlooked and damned by this disparaging name: weed. Much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I enjoyed the read of this poem. The author's words are descriptive,
interesting, clear and creative. This poem reminded me to look at the
beauty that surrounds us in nature. The poem flows and connects well.
The artwork is awesome and compliments these words.

I see a lot of pretty flowers that are considered weeds. I don't care. I plant some of them. Thanks so much for reviewing.

A very nice poem. I love the message. Daisies are also considered weeds by farmers. It all depends on context. This form is a very nice one, I must have a go at it. I have no suggestions for this poem, just enjoyed it very much.

Thanks for sharing.

This poem is excellent in every respect--skillfully composed in an appealing style, descriptive of the elusive weed/flower that evades your attempts to grow it. Good touch of humor! :-)

Thank you. I'm going to keep trying to grow them here.

Another interesting form. You say six lines in three stanzas. Isn't that eighteen lines, not twenty. Did I miss something?

Nevertheless, I agree with all you say. It is a lovely flower, not a weed.

It was sixtains with a couplet. Thank you for reviewing. I'm glad you agree.

Okay, I missed the couplet. Sounds challenging.

I really enjoyed this, damommy. I definitely think of the tickseed coreopsis as a flower not a weed. Your words not only expressed your sorrow and dismay but deeply captured the beauty of this delightful flower. I am so sad that this beauty seems to evade your garden. Perhaps one day. Well done.

Most of the time the wildflowers will not grow in gardens because the soil has been improved for the cultivated seed we buy. So many of the wild flowers have disappeared here in the valley because of that. I like your poem, Yvonne. Well done. Nancy:)

You know I love complicated forms, but this one blows me away. I loved the theme of coreopsis and gardening, but your notes made me hold my head :). Your execution of this form is stellar and perfect. So well done, Yvonne.
