Yes, I can recall those types of shoes and now I am down to the lower heels that fit my age. If I take the cane, then it is flat shoes and when I am at home it is the slippers.
I often look back and the different types of shoes I once wore.
I liked the picture and the feet at the end as well as the font and the color you used. I also like centered poems.

Hi, Rosemary! I am so happy that you enjoyed My Favorite Shoes and appreciate the wonderful Six-Star rating that you awarded! It was quite a fun trip down memory lane and it was just too hard to pick one specific pair out. I will tell you though, that my original poem had an additional stanza which was one with a fun twist at the end... however, I was told when it was in Committee Review for the contest that the last stanza did not conform to the specific topic of shoes (due to a fun, creative twist to the end). Although I was disappointed that I needed to amend it, I am so happy that my revised was also so well received. Thank you once again for the wonderful review and have a lovely evening!

But then I said to myself, "Susan, you know SHE won't be able to pass this one up and you will never in a million years aspire to better meter and rhyme. So just wait it out; let her tell the story for the both of us." Glad I didn't waste an entry fee. (Perhaps I should enter the Psychic contest.) ð???ð???ð??? Loved it, but you missed western boots, moccasins, sturdy work boots and Sorel's for cold and snow. Oh, right. No cold or snow there.

Oh, my... You just brought back another memory of mine - my Cowgirl boots from the 50's! I loved, loved, loved them! I always wanted to be a cowgirl back then!
