The artwork looks like she is sleeping in the stream not just sitting next to it.

Nice little poem that encapsulates the essence of feeling. It thrusts the reader into a kaleidoscope of senses. We all know this feeling of dreams, and streams, and wish it happened more often.

Nice, Melissa. I do the same, but I only have trees, the closes water is about a mile and downhill through other trees and slippery snakes. :) I rather stay under the shade and daydream upon a star as the day passes by. This is a good offering for the Two Line Poem Contest.

Daydreaming is usually a pleasant experience in which people slip into wishful thinking while awake. I daydream all the time lying on the bed at home or anywhere. Daydreaming into harmful and at times turn out to be inspiring. I liked your short poem so elegantly penned. Good luck!

I have been busy and traveling. Took a trip to Utah and visited all five national parks. I have to write some poems about it.
