Hi Charlotte, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I'm so glad you enjoyed both the poem and the image. I've been writing some poems for some of MKFlood's videos so if you view his videos' you might see some of my poems. I did one for Caribbean Winds, Travels of the Wanderlust, and "A Women in Love". So glad you enjoy what I write! :o) Nancy

This is beautifully written description of such a beautiful creature. Very well done. It has a beautiful flow and rhyme scheme. I love your photo it compliments your words so well. I'm a lover of butterflies myself. So graceful and spiritual.

Glorious! A stunning rendering of this ethereal creature--elegant imagery and graceful phrasing are spot-on for the subject of this paean. Lovely piece.

Beautiful, Beautiful write! I love the picture as well as, of course, your well constructed write to go with this picture. I feel that butterflies are messengers from Heaven.

I really love this tribute to the BUTTERFLY. You describe her perfectly with such phrases as "wings of lace," "the flutter of a rainbow's glow, "and this small garden sprite." Your smooth-flowing meter--which imitates her flight--really impresses me, too. This is a wonderful poem!

Amazing.
I once found a monarch.
And, butterflies go through the metamorphosis in the form of a Chrysalis.
I didn't know what it was but it was a beautiful, lime, green.
And, it looks like a seashell.
(Conch)
Yes, decorated in black and gold dots around the circular edges.
Of course they nest on milkweed plants and that's where I found it.
So, I put it in the heater room and waited for it to come out of the cocoon.
Yes, In which it did.
Thanks for this.

Hi Ricky, I know exactly what you're talking about! When I was a kid I often saw Monarch caterpillars. I was lucky enough to see their lovely soft Jade colored chrysalis. It's definitely the prettiest chrysalis I've ever seen with specks of gold around the top. The other thing I love about them is, shortly before the butterfly emerges, the chrysalis becomes transparent and you can see the butterfly within. That's pretty cool! I used a Monarch Butterfly as my image because I had a great image of one, but any butterfly would fit the description of my poem. :o)
I'm thrilled you liked my poem to the extent you did! Thanks for the absolutely incredible review and for sharing your info on the beautiful Monarch butterfly! :o) :o) :o) Helvi

Helvi - this poem has a wonderful light, almost effortless, flow about it that is the perfect companion to a narrative about the beautiful butterfly. This was a joy to read - with a rhyme and meter that moved gracefully from start to finish. Thank you for sharing.
