After 14 months of covid , in my country there is 1 million more unemployed.. that takes us to 4 million now.
Unlike other European countries like Germany , France and England, our government never offered financial help to small and medium businesses.
More than 40% will never open again and another 40% is about to follow.
People are desperate: there is no work yet the bills keep coming .
We have lot of suicides...
People don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I hope your story was fiction but if it wasn't , I am sorry to hear of you grave situation and pray that you find the help you need and deserve.

Good story that gives good visual. One minor typo. Quote at the end of the 3rd paragraph. The guy has no fear of hell as he considers his blindness hell on earth. good job

I like your story. It has good dark humor in it, pun intended. I think the ending has a nice twist to it. I'd like to see some more lines about how Darkness approached the person or a little more scene setting. Otherwise, very nice work!

What a clever short form response to this writing prompt. It's amazing how people can overcome almost anything, although this is a story, and a darn clever one, it sometimes true that hell is on earth. Beautifully written, good luck, blessings Roy

Wow! This is real creativity. What an imagination. The title is quite appropriate, and your artwork pairs perfectly. "I have no job, no home, no sight!" Your POV character is truly already in hell. Well done. Best wishes in the contest.

I was NOT expecting that. I do not care who you are, you cannot just go around kicking folks when they are already down. I think it is a rule, right?
Cause, I mean, otherwise, we would alllll be out there doing it, right? Man. It is like the cheapest, BEST entertainment!! Oh.
Not that I know personally. My uncle stayed with us once -er twice -- three times, tops! And told me about it. Yeah. But uhm I would never ... ummm.
