I agree with you that people who commit murder have to have something broken inside, a disconnect with reality. Otherwise how can they live with themselves? Again, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.

I'm not sure I have any answers to your questions Melodie, I don't think I could understand that level of viciousness as long as live, it simply mystifies me, I'm truly at a loss. Well done, good post, well written, blessings Roy

There should stricter punishment for the brutal murder of people. Punishment is not for revenge, but to lessen crime and reform the criminal. The reasons for the murder is always perplexing. This is a very well written story that will make the reader sit up straight and think. Thanks for sharing!

Those who cannot control their temper can easily murder and we are all capable of getting angry and losing control at times, but not everyone takes it our on someone else. I feel the grief within your words here and your anger at wat has happened. I hope someone pays for this terrible crime, a chilling real life story here Michelle, love Dolly x

This piece expresses the sense of alarm and frustration that follows in the wake of senseless violence. It is unsettling as it would be. We must not be made to accept that this is just part of life in our society, and your feelings come across in a raw form.

    Is that a good thing about the way my feelings come out thru my words? I wrote from my soul which is made up of your mind, your will and your emotions. The words just come out of me.. you are so right that we should never take something as brutal and personal add this horrific cringe was too be the norm but unfortunately that's close to being the truth.

Your poem is well written. It is such poem of sadness to remember the hate crime. You show your emotions and your feelings about the murder.

My condolence to the victim.
I really wish Karma will bring justice to this world,,, as you say, "Karma will find those that tortured and cut into innocent blood..."

    Yes he didn't deserve the vengeful and grisley and hateful things that they did to him. It breaks my heart and I can't stop thinking about it wondering what was going thru his mind, etc ...

If I'm being honest as I read this the first stanza just didn't ring true. I can (and I think everyone can) think of why someone would hurt someone else. Heck, it's done every day. In war. We see it every day. My only thought is what you share in the final notes, that brings this all together actually, might be better suited to be part of your poem. If you lead with those details and wrap your thoughts around that we share the same perspective as you which makes this poem make a lot more sense. It's well written. Creative. And easy to read. Great job.

    My prime come out the way they come out and if I change that, they cease to be mine. I will check it out too see if I can tweak it some more but not too make a heavy change!

    You didn't see my neighbor after he was brutally murdered and no I cannot see how one human being could possibly do that to another human being. What's wrong with that, it's my opinion on the subject and you're welcome to disagree but I shouldn't have to conform to your opinions just like you shouldn't have to conform to mine! That's why we are in America my friend! He was beaten to where his face was no longer there and his eye socketed were gone, no nose or mouth. Erased and that is one horrific thing to see if someone close to you so again I can't fathom how one could do something like that to another! I just cannot!
