The Wedding Ring

There is something haunting about this poem, CG. The reader, this reader, wonders if the wedding ring was lost, or intentionally misplaced, and her lover--is it her love, or her lover--waits for her under the sea? That said, it is very well done, and I hope it does well in the contest.

Interesting haiku. Sounds intriguing to me. Maybe if you find something, you may lose something else to balance it out. Life is full of compromises. Good luck in the contest!

I like how you tell a whole story with just this brief 5-7-5. The wedding ring is lost perhaps due to some tragedy. On either side of eternity the separated lovers await one another. Best wishes in the contest!

What an interesting poem and accompanying artwork! You caused my mind to conjure up an entire story about a man who tries to save his wife from drowning in the ocean after a boating accident - or maybe she fell or jumped off a cruise ship and he jumped in to try and save her. And he is unable to save her and also loses his wedding ring in the process!
Great job!
Thank you for sharing,
Susan
