-Good artwork and story
to go with it, Ben.
-It flows well, beginning
with the opening discussion
about the female warrior.
-It sounds like Thad talks to
hear himself talk, so eventually
Bud had had enough of that.
-Can't say I blame him.
-He seemed more compatible with Sam.
-The section about the proposed
reservation in Arizona and Bud's
thoughts about it was done well.
-The ending section is also good,
and elaborates on a few items of interest
with Chaplain Mullins and his troops,
and the cattle issue that had been a mystery.
-Well done.

I read about a Cherokee maiden who became a warrior and had her right breast removed so it didn't interfere with her drawing a bow back. Good solid chapter. Keep'em coming.

Interesting. I never knew this. I am Choctaw from my Grandmother. My mother was a half-breed. We are from the Mississippi tribe. Dancing Rabbit treaty. My last published novel introduced this in Silent Hand Of God, found on Amazon. Many of the fans have read and purchased a copy.
Thanks Earl. I appreciate your support.

I was enjoying reading so much I forgot to review for editing sake. That's mark of a good story and your writing always has a GREAT story. I can't wait to read more. Please keep writing. You have stories that need to be told, especially in today's world.

From what I know about humankind, we are a corrupt bunch, in the most unjust way, and I've heard the same thing, that government agents were robbing the Indians, but it happens in this modern, our government has been dealing with rape and some extortion, members with their "fingers in the till", most discouraging, well done Ben. My blessings Roy

Ben, there doesn't seem to be much action happening with these troops. They are pursuing the Apache who are known for their non-appearance. Their intentions aside, they are covering a lot of miles with no productive results.

They did much of that but their presence was pressure and especially during the Victorio war. It forced him into mostly Mexico which cost him his life in realty.

Hi Ben, it is a fine write, and I read a lot between the lines. The settlers came and conquered, with no regards of the natives who knew how to look after the land and lived fine, until they were shot at and starved to oblivion. You are writing a fine historical piece. Ulla:)))

Well done, Ben. I like the way you put the voice in the form of the scout. We get a first hand impression from that. Thad is worried about the fact he might not be able to kill a woman warrior and I can understand that, however I believe self preservation will take care of that problem should it be necessary. Enjoyed. Nancy:)

It's so sad that the Indians had to steal cattle to feed their people, when at one time they had loads of buffalo until the soldiers were ordered to slaughter them all. That was mindless and stupid. So we travel on and a big fight looks imminent. This is a wonderful continuation of your historical story, Chuck, and look forward to the next part. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandy. xxx

I'm enjoying this story and learning much I never read before about the the different Indian tribes. I see the Apache is a cut above the rest for being difficult to deal with. I found the reason for not pursuing the Indians who were driving the cattle to be interesting. Bud and Thad are interesting characters as well.
