This is a truly powerful write about the terrible and long lasting effects of trauma on a person. Your presentation is a good one from the picture to your write and your creativity.

Thank you so much for your kind words and review. I believe we can be our worst enemy when we allow our mind to draw it's own conclusions and we doubt the heart. Thank you for stopping by - Have a great day!

Yes, she is a prisoner of her own mind and a horrible traumatic past. This is a sad story but one that does happen. The writing is strong and the dark emotions reach the reader. Hard topic but sometimes they make the best tales.
Good entry and good luck.

Thank you sir for your kind and understanding words. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies when we let the mind override the heart. appreciate your review and best wishes. Have a great day!

You've portrayed the sinister aspect of how such an abuse can lay hold of a person's sense of herself and keep her imprisoned. It is a very sensory piece, filled with psychological intensity.

Sometimes we become our worst enemy, letting our minds go to dark places when it's not necessary, but we lose control. Thank you for the review and your kind words. Have a great day!

Very well written story. Your words are vivid. That is exactly right, the life is damaged as well, and she remains a prisoner of her thoughts and fears now. Best wishes for the contest.

The choice to make her a prisoner in her own mind is quite smart. There are sections where flow could be improved, but this still deserves 5 stars for risk and vulnerability.

If we have been subjected to trauma with violence, we continue to relive it and live in fear that it might reoccur, this is a terrible situation to be in, our fears thwart our lives, a fine entry for the contest, love Dolly x

You tell a very engaging story I only 100 words. Our sympathy for Felecia is instant once we know she was a rape victim. Then it is easy for us to understand why she might remain a "prisoner" for a longtime despite her rapist's death.
