So glad you thought this one gave some suspense to the story. I was hoping it wasn't boring or too much. The next chapter will bring in some action. I loved the artwork too. Thanks for mentioning that.

Good first draft but reads slow in spots. Too wordy. You might consider getting rid of the "plank" and putting branch or something that would be more likely found in the woods. Look forward to reading the next part. Be safe and happy.
