What a "high voltage" poem!! You really avoided the word "love" but it is in every line and every word you wrote. Last two lines are the colophon of your poem and mark the eternal "heart property" of one to the other. Picture is just perfect as the rings shadow in two hearts. Great job!

Janet,

Oh, wow. I have read hundreds upon hundreds (upon billions?) of love poems since I joined FanStory - but this may be one of the best ever? I have no doubt your hubby loved it. I certainly did. There are so many magical moments here - especially the ones depicting a world without your love. Ugly and cold, indeed. Do me a favor and tell him - for allllll of us -- PLEASE stick around???

hahaha Thanks so much!

What a kewl love poem. It is forever love without having to say love. Brilliant. I have felt those emotions myself ehat if my partner ever left I might wither and die.

Yes, indeed, I was pointing out to folk with the plethora of love poems coming out, the many adjectives to describe that word "love" in Ancient Greek, the only "real" one was agape', the Christ-like love of sacrifice. I like yours better, I don't know what I have for my children and grands, ("storge" is the word") but it certainly runs deep, as does my "love" for Elaine. This is beautifully written, it's one of your best, God is the god of second chances, so well done Janet. Congratulations, using your talent as God intended. Blessings Roy.
