They do say you should live your dream and these days masks are in fashion though the current style is to wear them somewhat lower than did your hero Zorro. Remember:

I must be about the same age as this author, as I too was nine or ten when Zorro was on TV first run. Being male, I of course identified with the swash-buckler himself. I found it interesting how she made the segue to her current love this many years later

Yes, the innocent can love blindly, without the cloud of sex, which can create a very different kind of adoration. I'm sure Zorro was everything a ten-year-old thought a man should be. Nice poem.

I think, perhaps that life being a dream is a much truer statement than we think! This is sweet and pure and really, what girl wouldn't be in love with zorro? And his horse, of course!
