I'm afraid I offer very little for myself, I would despair if I only had myself to believe in, it's a rocky, only God is my source, and when He found me, I wasn't in a good place Jesse, that seems like eons ago now. But beautifully written my friend, in tercets, well done, blessings Roy

It is clear that you have discovered where your resourcefulness has come from in the past and where it will come from in the future. I agree with these ideas. I would suggest that you try to offer your readers more illustrations or comparisons to help them connect with your ideas in something other than a direct verbal way.

This is a good poem about keeping on to hope. Sometimes that is literally all we have to get through life. Especially when the world within our emotions in the one crumbling, it's the hardest to explain to anyone else around us.

One absolutely necessary agreement we must make with our own self is that we choose our attitude for each day.
We can look at our day up and down, side to side and try to locate spots for tasks and chores we have in mind and begin a cheerful execution of the programming we absorbed to knock off those activities.
Take each step with total awareness, watching your body motions necessary to take a shower, drive your car, pay for groceries, etc..
By the end of your day, your attention to detail will have filled your mind with appreciation. Your poem reminded me to do this more often....John

I feel you. Sometimes I wonder what the source of my strength is. I am never bothered for long by any situation I find myself in. I seem able to recover from just about any problem I have been faced with in my 78 years of life. I have undying faith in my God and his son Jesus Christ. Believe me I have survived some situations on the surface seemed at the time to be the definite end of me. Yet I have managed to survive. Something in your post tells me you know what I am talking about. Truly, that which does not destroy you has to make you stronger. That is if you are paying attention.

Excellent use of words that shows the recent growth you have gone through. "With the added bonus of giving to others" is a wonderful line that shows when we grow, we learn to give to others. There is much food for thought in your words.

A challenge to everyone who has suffered from HALT
Being Hungry
Being Angry
Being Lonely
Being Tired
We all suffer from some level of self-deprecation.
We are all generally sympathetic and empathetic to others.
We must first be fair to ourselves and embrace our innate self esteem.
Do for yourself what you are willing, "...to do for the least of mine,"
realizing that we all are that person.
