Katherine is reluctant whether or not Gabriel is a good fit for her. In so many way, I wonder if they will even be just friends because they each are used to their own ways.

Yup. Katherine is definitely falling for him, lol. And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! After all that denying she had to stop, she just had to... I almost couldn't read it lol. But the story's intriguing! And don't worry about making mistakes... it happens to us all. :) Going to read the next chapter!

Katherine is slowly softening. The 'date' would be good for them .The dialogues were easy flowing ,the characters seem very realistic and the atmosphere a happy one.

I've been away again for a while. Sounds like these two are finally moving towards one another. I agree with Katherine...I eat fish,no cook fish, but I don't clean them.

The dialogue continues to be realistic and we get a warm feeling from this portrait of family and aquaintances making that usual small talk while something more serious is going on under the surface. Namely, Gabriel is slowly but surely becoming more and more of a fixture to the mom here. He is endearing himself into her life and family. He seems like a nice guy, she seems a bit apprehensive, understandably so after the pain she has been through. But springtime seems to be melting the ice in this relationship. estory

This is a lovely sequence. No patience needed, it was a pleasure to read.
I like the way it ended, awkwardly arranging a not-a-date dinner.
The repartee between the two of them is becoming more comfortable.
My only suggestion is that you bring back the mystery of her 'being watched' or what ever it was that was upsetting the dogs a few chapters back. The romance is simmering.
