The teddy has a place of honor in her bedroom, and she has shared that she reads the poem, but never has dry eyes after reading it.
It will always be a meaningful Christmas too.

YOU always come through with your reviews and words. My records show that YOU are the one, who brings my writing over a five-star. I wasn't going to post this story, but now that I see all of the positive response, if one child gets the poem and remembers some of the teddy bear words - it is worth a fortune to me.
I've given some teddy bears to friends and to one nurse, just after I wrote it. It made my day. Her six-year old daughter, didn't have a teddy bear and was coming home from being with her dad. That gift and the note, was meant to happen. Things do happen the way they are supposed to.

Thanks again Beth for being a consistent reader and for your very nice reviews. Most of us had Teddy Bears growing up, but many of us never knew what they really meant to us. I think my first best friend was the grey teddy bear that waited for me to climb into bed. I realize that now, but wish I had a way to thank him for being there for me.

The teddy bear here might be a real story, something that has accompanied us throughout our childhood, or it might be a symbol, something we are looking for and something in our hope.
