Melissa, what kind of poetry did you write? Does it have a beat, a rhyme? the reason I ask is that it felt good on my soul. :) I like your journey through life with all that debris that hindered and hurt you. Life is not a bed of roses, many time you lay on thorns. This is a very good way of telling a tale of hardships, but walking straight and true with some help of the MAN. Love it. Thank you for sharing.

Oh, Jose, what a wonderful review and comments. So glad that you felt the message in both the content and meter... it is in iambic tetrameters. Hugs, my friend. Thank you,

Hello Melissa, this is a very well written poem with good rhyme and good use of metaphor - as you say 'walking through life when we do not understand the things going on around us'. Very appropriate for life in these troubled times we are going through at present. Lovely picture and a very good read. Warm regards Dorothy x

This is a nicely written poem. Nice flow and rhyme scheme. Our paths will blend both smooth and rough. But grit and faith will be enough . To cross the sea to breach the tide. My goal... to reach the other side. Beautiful photo to go with your words.

In many Christian songs there have been mention of a metaphorical Jordan river, symbolic perhaps, but it's like that train leaving, so this sea is a very clever and similar metaphor. Beautifully written Melissa, I like this rendition very much. Well done, blessings Roy

So much we don't understand these days, and it's frightening. The only certainty we have is our faith in God Who never fails us. This is beautifully written, and is lovely when read aloud.

Hello sweet, Yvonne. I am so delighted you enjoyed this verse ~ and my spiritual walk through these times. It is hard to share things and not sound sappy.. it is true, as you said, He never fails us. :). Thank you.

This is a masterpiece! Your skillfully-composed, vividly descriptive poem has taken this reader on a journey through life--with all its breathtaking beauty, troubles, and, most importantly, the peace that only the Lord can give! Superb use of the sea motif.

Hi Melissa, I loved this wonderful poem which apt describes the troubling times we are all living through. The pandemic is bad enough, but so many other bad things are happening, as well. Your poem is so well written and a joy to read. Ulla:)))

What a magnificent poem. It's beautifully written. It lets the readers get a look into your life and some of the hardships you've had to face. It makes us look back at some of the things we've been through, and how like you, we've made it through it, despite the chaos around us. It also gives readers who are having difficulty in their lives, and the ones with faltering faith, hope for a brighter tomorrow. Your artwork is gorgeous, perfect for the poem. I wish I had a six to give, but I'm afraid I'm all out.

The sea is in my blood and I love the way your poem depicts a spiritual journey there. It is well written and flows smoothly. Great job and one that should get many positive reviews.
