I think you're in the same place a lot of us, at my age "a young man's fancy turns to food.". I'm so happy for Fanstory, I've thrown myself into creative writing, and it's yielded a harvest. Thanks Roy A bot of light hearted poetry to lift the mood and made me compose something Have been quiet of late
I will do one for my beautiful brother Jim who died 2 days ago so my heart is breaking at the moment with grief and now we have to apply for permits etc to try to get over to NSW for his funeral next Wed am so a fine tight line
Greg and me wiill drive up but now awaiting permission to go etc
such a lot of rig marole and restrictions Anyway hopefully we can head off Sunday to begin our journey of to Coffs Harbour
Jim was only 65 ans so so special to me My tears are running free

We can all relate, at least I can. Your poem inspired me to start watching those calories. It is either that or get bigger clothes. Your poem truly gave me quite a chuckle, someone else has a problem with their buckle.

Hi jaded831 .Thanks so much for your review and yes I have been pretty good of late as my clothes were getting tight and I am determined to fit back into my jeans which started this poem LOL.

A Muffin top?? I've never heard of that. I have heard we are what we eat. The reader will be drawn in to identify with even a small portion of this poem. They will be invited to reflect upon how many goodies they've ordered from Amazon. Well thought out.

Hi Liz, Thank you for your review and sorry for delayed response ( My beautiful brother passed away 5 days ago) A muffin top is a common saying here in Australia for the over hang belly especially in tight jeans. And yes Amazon may be responsible for many Muffin Top LOL Cheers Christine

I know for a fact that almost everyone has gained some weight since the arrival of this pandemic. I've gained ten pounds. I guess when confined and unable to do things like we use to, we resort to our comfort, food. Thanks for sharing this humorous and well written work. Well done!

This is cute. I liked it. But I have to admit, I voted for an entry about the dislike of liver. The decision came down to relevance. I don't have muffin top but I do shun liver as a meal. Maybe if I ate more liver I'd develop muffin top, but I shall not experiment.
