You know what your story gave me the image of (And I mean it in the best way) one of those punching toys, kids punch and they pop back up. You have weathered each set back with grit and determination and came back stronger and well grounded.
I am giving my six stars because not only for your story but because you are a survivor in may ways.

You are an amazing person and have done so much for others. I admire your riding school for the disabled, horses are so healing. You have also had a long art career and I agree, art is healing. I draw and write as therapy. Memoirs are my favorite forms of writing to read and yours is one of the best.

Your story, Aussie, is inspirational to all. I love that you shared your heart with FS. I could see you with every new adventure you worked on--especially the horses and the riding school for disabled kids. I agree that involving your self in art and being surrounded by people willing to learn what you can teach them, has helped you so much. I comment you for your heartfelt story.
Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

I fully wish I had a six for this, Kay. I can relate in so many ways to your life's journey. I divorced my first husband for physical cruelty, and have loved, loved, loved horses all my life. In my second marriage, I was able to have them again. Now, having been born a year earlier than you, I am living in a pleasant senior apartment. I previously spent many years working in jobs assisting others, and now I am thrilled to be writing a lot and doing computer art. My faith is strong and supports me 24/7. I truly hope your wonderful entry is the winner; if I was voting on it, I would reward it for sure. Big hugs, Janet P.S. That is a great picture of you and Elvis. Since I live in Memphis, it is particularly endearing. (I have a similar type of picture of me sitting on a bench with a replica of Ronald McDonald.) LOL

Hello there Janet, Thanks so much for reading and it was good to know your life adventures paralleled mine! I was going to a restaurant called "Happy Days" and Elvis was sitting on the bench, I nearly tripped over his big foot! He was such a special man. I guess you have been through Graceland? I could feel the joy in your words to me, gave me a leg up (pardon the pun.) Love, Kay xx

Good luck in the contest, Kace. This was wonderfully well done and I loved the picture. (only because I have one of Jim with a statue of a saloon girl) You have certainly had an adventurous life but I am so glad each path opened up to another. To a great person and an interesting life.

Hello my beautiful friend Teri, I always write to inspire, and if it helps one person without hope, it has proven worthwhile. I know about your MS ;having nursed it I understand what you are going through. And underneath are the Everlasting Arms of Jesus. Many blessings from your Aussie mate Kay xx

Talk about a portfolio career! You have certainly lived one. I found this a most interesting autobiography. At the moment the presentation is letting you down. You have a number of paragraphs correctly formatted with a line break in between but also quite a number that don't. This could cause the judges to either disqualify your entry or disregard it, which would be a shame.

Good onya Kay, I've learnt more about you today than anytime in the last few years, I think you've always been an idealist, God tends to make us like that. But still realists, originally I was a musician, (still am really) but God has other plans. Beautifully written dirt, how wonderful, well done, blessings, Roy
