Another well written chapter. I love your use of description, 'made a face like a blow fish', being just one example, another how Steven danced with his suit. The scene was perfect, and described his anticipation for this date perfectly.I really am keen to know where Esther went and how she had the gall to just stand Steven up like that.
Your Doc is turning into quite a paternal figure where Steven is concerned. His protectiveness is very tangible.
Your dream sequence was very erotic and I'm sure it left many readers squirming. Well written scene. Poor lad she doesn't feel the same way.

Calling Esther periodical/ should be periodically.'

Thank you so much. Esther went to a seance with Madame Reece. Maybe I need to make that more clear. I'll make the correction and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I love psychic stories. A love story too. But police murder stories aren't my favorite. Sensationally written sexual encounters. Excellent flow of events. A couple of those long paragraphs need to better structured for an easier read. Good work. All the best, Alicia

I apologize for not doing my duty and helping find areas that need revisiting. It's your fault though. This was a very engaging read. You do a great job of mixing narrative and dialog which pulls your reader in. A nice beginning and ending.
