Seal of Quality Request

   Thread Started January 16 at 4:01PM

Hi,
If I wish to put forward a few of my short stories for the Seal of Quality Request, how do I go about that?
Do I have to create a book of 3 stories and put it up?
Thank you for all your help, everyone.
Sharon

Sharon: Under "My Menu" go down and select "My Certificates" then look for "Seal of Quality Request." It will explain what you need to do there...Bill

Thanks, Bill.
I have done that but it's not enough detail. I think it says that I have to put the three stories into a book and close it? Maybe?
And how do I go about doing that?

Under "Write" up above, there's a listing "Post a book", and there's a sublisting under that "Create a New Book".

The only thing I'm not sure of is if you have to post a new story/chapter to get it started. If you DO, you can start it with your next story posting. Remember, you can always add and remove posts from your book whenever you want. You can also designate whether your posts are book chapters or stand alone stories.

HA! Sounds like I know what I'm talking about. We'll see. :))

yes, you do definitely need to put all of the stories you want considered into a book. Check that the length meets the requirements for a Seal. Then there should be an option to mark the book as complete. I've forgotten exactly where that is, but I'll have a hunt around and see if I can find it.

Yep, when you go to your portfolio and find the 'book', one of the options is 'Mark as Complete'. It's the last button on the right hand side.

I guess that requirement is so that you don't get a Seal and then go inserting new stories which may be of an inferior quality.

Minimum length requirement is 2000 words in total, as stated here...

minimum word count of 2000 words in a single story or an aggregate of 2000 words for short stories and/or flash fiction combined into a book;

Good Luck!
