The Justice Department is separately probing former President Donald Trump's handling of highly sensitive classified documents that he retained at his Florida resort after leaving the White House in January 2021. FBI agents carried out a court-approved search on Aug. 8 of Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. About 100 documents marked as classified were among thousands of records seized. "When is the FBI going to raid the many homes of Joe Biden, perhaps even the White House? These documents were definitely not declassified," Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform late on Monday.

This is an unforced error if I ever saw one. My first thought was that the documents were planted at the think tank by MAGA extremists, but when additional classified documents were found in Biden’s personal library and his locked garage along with his Corvette it became an entirely different matter all-together. Who drives a Corvette these days? I think AG Garland made the right decision appointing a Special Counsel.

"The galling hypocrisy from the Penn Biden Center incident would have been bad enough. But then, Joe Biden's week got even worse. Adding insult to injury, on Thursday two separate tranches of additional classified documents from the Obama-Biden administration were found in Biden's Wilmington, Delaware, personal home. All but one of the documents was found in a storage space in Biden's garage. That garage was "locked," the president quickly pointed out in a flippant attempt at de-escalation, and also housed his prized Corvette. One other classified document was found strewn about elsewhere in the house, outside the garage."

How about those allegations Gym Jordan The allegations against Jordan stem from his time as
an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State. Former wrestlers have come forward with claims that he turned a blind eye to sexual abuse by then doctor Richard Strauss. For his part, the representative from Ohio vehemently denies having any part in the sexual abuse coverup.

Can one document be 'strewn about?' And anyway, who has even claimed that it was strewn about?
Can't talk about Gym Jordan without uttering a stream of expletives. he shouldn't be in Congress, much less heading a committee investigating the legitimate investigation of his own conduct!!

Josh Hammer said it was strewn around in his Op-Ed. I haven't seen the definition of document anywhere, but it appears the one strewn around was six pages in total. One could infer that to mean pages from the same document were found in different locations. I think Biden's classified documents were initially found by his lawyers who returned them to the archives who then contacted the DOJ. So it's possible there is no photographic evidence, but there was one SCIF compartmented document among them. More classified documents were found on Saturday at Biden's Delaware home.
If the "crime" is taking classified material then there is hypocrisy on both sides regardless of whether one case involves inadvertent irresponsibility and the other was deliberately irresponsible.
Much hay will be spun into political gold from this bungle.

Now if the "crime" is obstruction of justice (which it almost always is because obstruction is easier to prove beyond a reasonable doubt-Bill Clinton case in point) then the hypocrisy lies entirely with the GOP of Trump. Remember when I mentioned to you long ago regarding Michael Cohen's payments to Stormy Daniels as circumstantial evidence similar to that of waking up in the morning finding snow on the ground is not considered proof that it in fact snowed overnight. The lunacy! The insanity! But that is what the law is. The law is built on precedence.
If a lawyer can't find precedence in the crime of taking classified materials to prove a felony offense then it doesn't work. I'd say there is precedence in that regard. Chelsey Manning, Edward Snowden and Reality Winner cases in point. Winner was arrested in June 2017 after sending a top-secret National Security Agency report about Russian government hacking of the 2016 election to a news organization. She was the first leaker charged by the Trump administration's Justice Department which used the Espionage Act to prosecute her. Winner pleaded guilty in 2018 and just recently completed her sentence.
Good times ahead. Let's hope Biden's Communications team is up for the challenge.

The key to that (if it's correct as stated) is that they would have to be documents that he himself classified originally...
