What gives?Thread Started December 22 at 10:33AM
Is anyone but me having a problem using advanced editor?
For some reason whatever I post is italicized.
I don't WANT all of the words italicized at times.
It's getting to be extremely frustrating.

Well, I know classic is acting up. Yes, I still like the old one.
For the last 4 days the featured poems & stories are both NO SHOWS.
There is no way to see them, THAT is frustrating especially when
one promotes to be on the page & can't see their work!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had huge issues with the advanced editor about a year back, and couldn't use it at all. Tom was not able to help and I know I was not alone. It seemed to resolve itself when I had my software reloaded after an upgrade to another program.

Yeah, that would tend to put one off their feed, Jan.

I guess I'll just have to deal with it for now.

Do try contacting Tom. They may have done another update to the site and had others with the same issue. Tom has been great at fixing some problems, unfortunately, just not that one.

What if we all made a HUGE Christmas/New year wish for a decent editor to replace the present one. It has been known as Evil Eddie for as long as I have been on the site. Most of the 'features' on offer don't work as far as I can tell and it is a key component of the site - something most of us use on a regular basis.
Please, Tom, can this make it to the top of the wish-list!

Hey Jan :-)
I was having that problem too...until I figured out
to hit the "complete Listing >" button at the bottom
of the blank space (about the middle of the page).
That should send you straight to the actual listings :-)
Yup...the italic/non italic thingy is hinky - sometimes it behaves...
sometimes I'll have to edit three to five times before it settles into
the multi-choices I made. (I thought it was just my computer! Not
I'm happy to hear someone else is having problems...but I'm "happy"
to hear hear I'm not alone!)

Thanks Leineco. I do hit that & those listing come up.
However, they used to be there automatically & show when
you just clicked on the page.
Clicking in 'complete listing' brings the whole bunch of poems
I want to see the 2 columns that say 'Well Received Poems &
Well Received Stories' [or something like that--it's been s long
since I have seen this page.] It also showed the 'Featured Poems.'
One night they all just disappeared.
Sebastian and the Invisible Island tells the tale of a young boy stranded on a mysterious island where his only hope for rescue lies in feuding extraterrestrials who also yearn for home.
“This is a great book to enjoy between parent and preteens or younger. It drew us with its intriguing tropical island setting, heroics and strange goings on.” -Sally
“Excellent reading material for the age group. A breath of fresh air for young people in an area that is growing darker.” –Robert
