RE: Who knows the answer?
Sure I saw the video. Parts of it are funny. I doubt Trump has any intention of discussing a comprehensive health plan. Our govt spends crudely double on health care what we spend on our military.

There is a nonzero chance I will vote for Trump, though it's less than 50%, and it would be largely to help reform both parties. The only way that can happen is for Harris to lose. She was not democratically installed, so her victory will complete the nondemocratic makeover of the Democratic Party. And all this DEI bullcrap needs to be purged. Let them see that it didn't work. Let Trump age out, diminish, and be remembered in his declining state. Then both parties can rebuild.

If Harris wins, that's the worst possible outcome for both parties. She will be a lame duck from the beginning, and the country will be left in political gridlock for four years until Vance or someone else crushes her in 2028.

RE: Who knows the answer?
Oh boy, seriously. Vance?

Donald Trump doesn't have a serious plan on anything, other than cooking up his next assault on American democracy when he loses to Harris. He hasn't a clue about anything, which is abundantly clear if you watch him attempt to discuss any topic.

This nonsense about Harris not being democratically elected is ridiculous. All over the world, leaders die, step down, become unable to continue to perform their duties for any one of a number of reasons. So what do they do? In many, no most, cases, they nominate a successor. The public generally don't get a say, in most cases even their own party machines don't get to decide. So what's the problem? If people don't like Harris, and don't think she can do a better job than her clearly unhinged opponent, they will say so on November 5.

By the way, I sincerely doubt the accuracy of some of those quotes allegedly made by Harris. Were they lifted from a single unnamed source, or have you personally compiled them? Either way, I don't think anyone should believe them until we have references.

Have you seen the viral video of the (white) Springfield woman addressing the idiotic claims concerning immigrant citizens of her town at her local council meeting? If not, you really should.

Finally, which in particular is it that offends you the most: diversity, equity or inclusion?

Pretty sure all those quotes are real cause I have heard her say them. Here is a video of her saying a whole bunch of them. I will try to embed it below. As far as DEI, it's the general idea that there are more important considerations than merit in hiring decisions that I fundamentally reject. I'm not getting into a semantic discussion on which buzz word is most or least important, as that distracts from the overall issue. I can check their minority checkboxes too, and don't care to.

RE: Who knows the answer?
Regarding the furor surrounding Biden's unforced error, we learn that Trump called Harris's supporters scum and absolute garbage months earlier.

Never-Trumpers troll J.D. Vance with video of Trump calling Harris supporters 'garbage'

"It's the people that surround her, they're scum and they want to take down our country," Trump says in the video. "They are absolute garbage." Donald Trump 9/7/24

OOPS! The Lincoln project posted it on TwitterX

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/politics/never-trumpers-troll-jd-vance-with-video-of-trump-calling-harris-supporters-garbage/ar-AA1tdWgS

"Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters," Trump said during a rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. "He called them 'garbage,' and they mean it, even though, without question, my supporters are far higher quality than crooked Joe, lyin' Kamala."

"My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple: You can't lead America if you don't love Americans. You just can't," he added.

Harris hasn't referred to anyone as garbage so that is just another bald-faced lie coming from Trump. And according to Trump the only two people who can't lead America are him and Biden. I agree with that.

RE: Who knows the answer?
OK, I checked out the first video, the one allegedly of Harris's hilarious gaffes. If those are the worst ODN can dig up to attempt to make Harris looks as unhinged and incompetent as Trump, things are looking brilliant for the Democrats come November 5.

There were very few I found incomprehensible, or even that I had the slightest difficulty understanding.

Also, I note that many of the "quotes" you include, Harambe, were not in that video, and of the ones that were, virtually none were quoted verbatim. Whether this was a deliberate ploy on your part to make then look bad, or simply sloppiness in transcribing, I won't speculate.

The only one in that video I would consider noteworthy is the gaffe when she refers to North Korea, but obviously means the Republic of Korea. Unfortunate, yes, but she's not the first to make such a slip up. Including the orange clown. And I'm fairly certain she is aware there is a difference, unlike Trump, who once had a phone conversation with the leader of the Korean Republic and thought it was the leader of North Korea, and whose global knowledge is so poor, he doesn't realise there is no country called Nambia, that Scotland is not part of England, or that China and India share a border.

I see absolutely no cause for concern whatsoever that the folks at ODN have tried, but failed, to produce a collection of embarrassing clips of Kamala, similar to the real screamers they found for Trump, and their Biden collection.

Look, the longer one has been around politically, the more gaffes there are going to be. Trump has been talking crap for decades. Kamala is pretty new to it. Perhaps to Gloria's point she is not actively malicious. What Trump said, that the people who surround her are garbage, was probably referring to her handlers rather than those who intend to vote for her. My point is that her general intelligence is low for someone running for President. Do you want to see a video of her repeatedly saying that 220 million Americans died of Covid? Anytime she has no idea what to say, she just laughs that horrible cackle. She's going to end up as being even more of a puppet than Biden.

The problem for you, Harambe, is this: every time you think you’ve dug up something that makes Harris look bad, it’s virtually a given Trump will have made countless proclamations on the same subject that reveal him to be a stark-raving lunatic.

You don’t need to show me the video of Harris saying 200 million+ Americans had died of COVID-19, when she meant 200 thousand+ – I’ve seen it. It’s an easy mistake to make. I’ve made similar mistakes myself – generally replacing millions with billions or vice-versa, but generally I’ve done it in everyday conversation, not under the pressure of speaking to tens of thousands of people.

In contrast to Harris’s gaffe, here are a few of Trump’s statements about the coronavirus – just to give some perspective.

January 22, 2020 The day the CDC confirmed the first American case of coronavirus:

"We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It's going to be just fine."

February 27, 2020

"It's going to disappear. One day — it's like a miracle — it will disappear."

March 11, 2020

Trump said that for "the vast majority of Americans, the risk is very, very low."

April 23, 2020

"So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light — and I think you said that that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too. It sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning.

May 19, 2020

"When we have a lot of cases, I don't look at that as a bad thing. I look at that in a certain respect as being a good thing, because it means our testing is much better."

Days later, the US hit 100,000 known deaths from COVID-19.

July 19,2020

"Many of those cases are young people that would heal in a day. They have the sniffles, and we put it down as a test." He added that many of those sick "are going to get better very quickly."

When Trump made this statement, over 3.7 million cases had been confirmed and more than 140,000 Americans had died.

September 21, 2020

"It affects elderly people, elderly people with heart problems, if they have other problems, that's what it really affects, that's it. In some states thousands of people — nobody young — below the age of 18, like nobody — they have a strong immune system — who knows?"

------------------

Who knows how many of the (so far) 1.2 million American deaths due to Trump’s complete stuff-up over COVID-19 could have been avoided? There’s little doubt his refusal to treat the disease seriously cost many hundreds of thousands of lives.

And Kamala misquoted a figure.

RE: Who knows the answer?
IDK who started this quote war. Maybe it was me. But policies matter a lot more.

Trump halted flights to and from China. Way too late, but he stopped them, under pressure from Democrats not to.

Trump signed hugely opulent bills to pay people to stay at home and not work early during the pandemic, and later to keep business from laying people off.

Trump initiated Operation Warp Speed to massively accelerate vaccine production, accelerating the approval process and taking the risk off vaccine makers. Becuase of this, the Biden administration had all the tools it needed to work with by spring of 2021.

Trump encouraged people to take the vaccines when a lot of Republicans were telling people not to. He has stayed pretty consistent on this point.

There are lots of reasons after the fact to criticize Trump on these things, and Republicans and Libertarians most certainly do. Trump may say a lot of dumb shit. Not surprising, considering he is not a conservative. He is a recovering Democrat.
