This is the winter of his discontent
How in the world will he pay his rent?
Covid-19 has put him out of work
No money coming in, he feels like a jerk
If things don't change, he'll be out on the street
No clothes on his back, no shoes on his feet
The Government's message, gives him no hope
On the edge of a cliff, he has no rope
This just might cost him, his kids, and his wife
Afraid he will lose his home and his life
Surrender is taken off of the table
Try to survive as long as he's able
With hope in his heart, looks for a new start
He prays for cash to shop at the food mart
He'll do what he can to back the right man
Hopes his future will be in the best hands
