He saw an envolope regarding his query letter. Once he's at home, he opened it, and he read it. To his surprise, he got the book contract. Another big surprise was that his manuscript is now solicited and not in the slush pile. Finally, at last! Writing Prompt Write a complete story in 80 words or less. The theme is 'Surprise.'
