Depression will drive us to the darkest edge
Edge of caring we're unwilling to pursue
Pursue or value as dreams now regress
Regress to the bottom of a mind found empty
Empty as life, eyes barren of survival
Survival once bright now covered by sadness
Sadness that blankets incentive and interest
Interest now buried along with all options
Options that leave one mental necessity
Necessity of death for freedom of depression

Thank you jesuel for the wonderful artwork
Depression, I know people live and survive with this horrible, horrible thing
and I also know-have known quite a few that gave in to it, their need to free
themselves brought me to this ending of my poem.
I was hoping for a happier one but sometimes this just does not happen.
