For years I chased my dreams to no avail,
success eluded me to my dismay.
No matter how I tried, my plans would fail,
not knowing why for me, life went astray.
Left adrift, with no sense of direction,
a weary heart and soul so beaten down.
Seeking affirmation, some connection,
a place where faith and hope can yet be found.
still, my dreams did not leave me completely,
where life exists, hope follows close behind.
Once again, I live my life so sweetly,
I sped up joy, put sorrow on rewind.
Don't lose your faith, remember you can win.
There's something new, just waiting to begin.
