You wonder why my love has changed?|
You ponder why we grew estranged?
To answer, I’ll attach no blame,
but simply say, that it’s a shame.
We once did everything in tune,
and once, you thought I hung the moon!
I thought that you could do no wrong;
our love remained forever strong!
So why now has it come apart?
Why is it that you break my heart?
Why should i feel ashamed and torn?
Why does my heart feel so forlorn?
Why need I lock these thoughts inside?
Why must this hurt my foolish pride?
Why was I raised to feel such guilt?
Why does my passion have to wilt?
Why won‘t my heart just scream and shout;
why can’t I let these feelings out??
Why do I wear this coward’s mask;
and not, to you, these questions ask?
Write a poem in which every stanza either begins with a question or ends with a question.|
