I never sleep, no need for rest,
my job is never done.
During daylight or in shadow,
I'm always on the run.
I distribute what's most needed,
not something you can buy.
A feeling that all people want,
sadly, in short supply.
My name is hope and nowadays
when turmoil is the norm,
I am what people need to heal,
the calm during the storm.
I offer to those in despair
a reason to believe.
The road ahead is filled with light,
God's blessings they'll receive.
Dressed up in my rainbow clothes,
I silently slip on through.
I give my heart to those in need,
their strength I can renew.
My enemies, fear and anger,
with hate not far behind,
can drain those with a hopeful will,
strong foes, but you will find...
That I have burned eternal,
Heaven sent, to you I'm bound.
I'll freely give myself to you,
and lift you off the ground.
