Somewhere up there,
They Are walking.
I can hear them laughing,
I can hear them talking.

Their eyes are sparking,
There's not a single sob.
Ever watchful,
They're still on the job.

They're still part of us,
Although their bodies are gone,
Their spirits, are with us,
We're not alone.

They still wear their shield proudly,
Upon their breast.
They lived, served
And died with the best.

Show no sorrow,
Sing no sad songs.
They are with our Father
And his heavenly throng.

Let us never forget
Woman or man.
Those gone before us
Wearing the blue and tan.

Author Notes
Tribute to the hero police officers who have died trying to serve and protect us. A dangerous and thankless profession.
