Thank you, Mom and Dad, for saving my life,
I am a cancer survivor whom you've saved,
I have a career because of you both,
you all have solved my problems along the way.
I have lots of friends that y'all made it happen for me,
you helped me through my writing,
when it was messy and probably is still fuzzy,
I can count on you both for anything,
you have been good friends,
and still are.
Y'all are there for me,
because you're my parents,
y'all told me to make my own decisions,
I did,
because of y'all, I realized that I didn't
do anything wrong,
y'all made me look at the positives,
instead of the negatives.
Y'all convinced me to feel happy.
I no longer talk negatively,
now I say, positive things about myself.
Thank you all for helping me
with that I do matter.
Thank you, Mom and Dad!
