When a storm has passed
Raindrops dissolve into
Delicate gossamer curtain
I look through to a cloud parting sky
Hoping to see a hopeful glorious ribbon
Seven colors arching across the horizon for me
These days when I see a rainbow
I recall Judy Garland singing her famous
“Somewhere Over the Rainbow” song
Promising a place where blue birds
Fly and dreams come true
I pray to God as I gaze into the sky
That this torrential pandemic will end and
We on earth may live our normal lives again
