There's No One Like You Lord by Frank Jauregui
A Poem about God writing prompt entry

Great God; I stand in awe, amazed at your creation
Your grace abounds to every creature
Great and small, to every tongue and nation.

And my soul cries out for joy
There’s no one like you Lord!
There’s no one else to come or came before
Who could call the stars by name
Who set the worlds in heaven’s frame
We watch them dance, we hear them sing
Great God, creator of all things
And I…,
I stand in awe oh, Lord
Of you, and the awesome things you do.

You loved me; you pulled me from the miry clay
You placed my feet upon The Rock and saved me.

And my soul cries out for joy
There’s no one like you Lord!
There’s no one else to come or came before
Who could calm the storm in me
Who broke my chains and set me free
You call me son, you call me friend
You say you’re with me ‘till the end
And I…,
I stand in awe oh, Lord
Of you, and the awesome things you do.

You’re faithful; you say that you will come again
To keep me standing to the end, you’re able.

And my soul cries out for joy
There’s no one like you Lord!
There’s no one else to come or came before
Who redeemed all that was lost
Who paid the price upon the cross
Erased my sin, and conquered death
You called it done with your last breath
And I…,
I stand in awe oh, Lord
Of you, and the awesome things you do!

Writing Prompt
Write a poem about God, to God, or what God means to you. Any type of poem is fine.

Author Notes
This poem was inspired by (Job 38:7) When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? In all of chapter 38 of Job, God gives a list of just some of his awesome deeds which he did in the past in his creation, and continues to do today in the willing hearts of men. Like Job, we are left speechless when asked, were you there when...? And all we can do is stand in awe of the awesome things God does!
