Glad I did
I Stuck With It by damommy

‘Twas yesterday, I lost my book.
An afternoon was all it took
to search around and take a look
to see just where I lost my book.

When it was found, I sat right down,
reached up and pulled my glasses down.
They needed cleaning, made me frown.
When that was done, I sat right down.

The story wasn’t good at first.
The author didn’t seem well versed,
and I decided it’s the worst
because it wasn’t good at first.

As I read on, it did improve.
I tucked right in and didn’t move.
Just goes to show it did behoove
me to proceed.  It did improve.

So glad I stayed and persevered.
It’s better than it first appeared.

Any number of mono-rhyme quatrain stanzas, and

It is stanzaic, with quatrains, each stanza being mono-rhymed with the last half of line one, being the repeated refrain, as the last half of line 4.
There is no limit to the number of stanzas but the poem must end with a rhyming couplet.
