I'm amazed at your ability
To perform under stress.
It's your maturity, attitude
And personality, I guess.
I'm amazed at the way
You react as you do.
Good deeds, kind words
And a smile when you're thru.
It's remarkable the way
You keep bouncing back.
Whether ill at ease
or under attack.
You never give up,
You never stop.
You're American heroes,

If you have not worn the shoes of a police officer, you have no idea what they face daily. We are at war with those who want to destroy/change our way of life. To me it's stupid to ask police officers to stand down when under attack. I personally, during my 40 years in law enforcement, used any method at my disposal to stay alive. I don't understand why there is so much demand to restrain the police, while the criminal element is out of control. Police officers are being asked to put their lives on the line trying to stop crime, while restraints on the lawless element is being ignored. I apologize for the political statement, however; someone has to stand for our Police Departments. Today,
police officers are being made into tigers with no teeth, as well as targets for
hate groups.
