Brace yourself for this chilling tale
that occurs as often as delivering mail.
Politicians sway votes when they speak
of the missed,while the rest of us cry
when the urchins are kissed.
We would be less disturbed by the way
we showed naught, if there voices were
heard while their lessons were taught.
These lines were not written for the ones
who still feel...we know most wont admit
what the majority...now will.
We did not ask to be barren or to be born
with disease!
We did not ask for starvation or to be acquainted
with flees!
We did not ask to be sold or to be branded
like live stock!
We did not ask to be treats to business men
who own shops!
Now you anger at our anger!!! While we mimic
what we've learned...knowing more [the gift of pleasure]
while the burner becomes the burned.
We were given from your womb, placed upon your soul
to learn...yet you left us un-consumed without reason
or concern.
Now we ask while we look, at our smiles in several frames...
why not tuck away our pictures and never utter our given names?
