was getting dressed because very soon,
he was going with mom to the store down the street
to buy cleaning supplies and good things to eat.
He put on his t-shirt, his jeans, and a mask.
Now Robert was ready to go on his task.
Mom's mask had a daisy with a little white spot.
Nowadays everyone wears masks a lot.

was talking to his best friends Michael and June.
On his dad's IPad was something called ZOOM,
it made it seem like they were in the same room!
They couldn't be together because a virus went round,
it was better at home, just to stay safe and sound.
So Robert's sister Holly and their mom and dad,
mostly stayed home though it made Robert sad.

was scared at first but learned quite soon,
to keep his hands clean and away from his face,
so the virus would wash away with no trace.
Robert made sure his sister did the same too,
to keep Holly safe, that's what big brothers do.
They also wore gloves when they went to the store,
just to protect them a little bit more.

was feeling happy up in his room.
His parents explained that they'd all be okay,
that one day the virus would soon go away.
Robert felt bad cuz he missed his math class,
but his mom taught his lessons, so he knew he would pass.
Robert thought it was fun having family at home,
it was the best place to be, he made sure not to roam.

helped Holly to bed then he sang her a tune.
She was so small and she needed her brother,
though Robert and Holly watched out for each other.
He missed his friends, his teachers too,
but he followed the rules, it's the right thing to do.
He thought to himself as he turned out his light,
I hope everyone in the world is alright.
