Excellent Fooled us The Trapped Cat? by damommy True Story Flash contest entry

I have a cat that doesn’t like to be touched, but she needed to go to the vet to be spayed.  Trying to get her into the carrier resulted in pools of blood – ours.  Finally, we cornered her in a bedroom and set a live trap with food and water, and a litter pan.    Every little while, we’d check to see if she was in the trap.  After three days of nothing eaten and the litter undisturbed, we gave up and opened the door.   That’s when she came trotting up behind us.  She’d never been in the room!   Recognized Author Notes Did I feel foolish when I realized she'd slipped by us, and all the time, we thought she was in there. I swear she was smirking!
