Shall I Compare Thee by DragonSkulls
    The Bard Contest Winner

Admiring the bard from ages past,
I ponder for a moment what would be.
Exactly what demeanor would he cast
if he were here today for us to see?

Would poems be the sweetest words he had
or lyrics that a metal band would sing?
Might he be dressed in turtlenecks and plaid
or sport tattoos and have a nipple ring?

I wonder if he'd rock a mean guitar
for multitudes of fans upon the stage.
Or would he be at home where kitties are,
and weep atop the mandolin he plays?

Is there a giant Harley in his drive,
with tons of chrome and painted skulls in flame?
Or does he have a scooter for a ride
that every hardcore biker mocks in shame?

I ponder if his woman's smokin' hot.
Do panties drop at poetry he writes?
Or is his hand the only love he's got
when he recites his poetry at night?

Do all his friends just call him by his name
or is his nickname something cool like Shakes?
Is sadly Bridge his boring choice of game,
or five card stud that has outrageous stakes?

If pushed to the extreme would he react
with brutal force and flat out go beserk?
Or hope that simple words could interact
with false illusion, thinking it might work?

Though I may jest, his talent's truly rare.
As artist and a poet none compare.

Author Notes
This piece was actually inspired by the artwork. I went looking for an image of Shakespeare and when I came across this awesome picture I just had to use it.

Thanks for reading.
