Supreme is the scene from my window.
Fortunately, it faces a certain way:
I am energized by the rise and set
of the nourishing sun each day.
Above the rooftops, I spy
clusters of trees nearby.
Farther still, I finely focus my eyes
to view tall timbers lining the sky.
In the air, I see birds of many species:
from gulls to egrets, ravens to geese.
A lone bald eagle, proud and free,
stretches his wings to soar with ease.
Late in the afternoon, I have trouble,
straining my vision not to see double.
As my blurry eyes visualize creative imagery,
they heighten a sense of universal symmetry.

Author Notes
I live in a five-story building on the top floor. I have a large sliding glass window that faces the most beautiful scenery in the area where I live in Eureka, California. Around here, the wooded areas are left standing and the residents have built their homes around them.
I will need to move from this building, for personal reasons. This window view from high up will be the one thing I will miss most. So, I want to memorialize this wondrous view with a poem and share it with all of you.
Thanks for reading.
