The Rainbow's End by Roxanna Andrews |
Leprechauns, I fear,
are not as cute as ye may hear. Some, I know, are up to no good. Upon seeing one, I'd run fast as I could. Ye have heard they keep pots of gold? Well, look inside, if ye be so bold! That's not gold ye see shimmering there, but eyes and bone and matted hair. I've heard it said at rainbow ends, Leprechauns don't reside, but their evil twins. They look alike, but don't be fooled! In ways of terror they've been schooled. They'll trip ye up, then tie ye down. And they do it all without a sound. Just eerie silence as ye roast on a spit, as round that fire they all sit. Then, when done with evening meal, another pot they start to fill, with eyes, and bone and matted hair. The rainbows end. JUST DON'T GO THERE!
