Writing Prompt
Write a three-lined poem with a syllable count 5-7-5 where line one has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables and the last line has 5 syllables. The topic is bird or birds. Creative approaches welcome.

Senryu is a Japanese form of short poetry similar to haiku in construction: three lines with 17 syllables or less. Senryu tends to be about human foibles while haiku tend to be about nature, and senryu are often cynical or darkly humorous while haiku are more serious.
