The persnickety parsnip groaned
after the prickly cactus moaned
over the fussy cantaloupe dripping
juices over the fastidious avocado slipping
across the table to plop in the plate
with frilly carrots and saucy dates
filled with fussy mashed potatoes
covered and smothered with tomatoes
meticulously detailing swirls and whorls
of cheddar cheese and sour cream,
this was in my dream!
