For days of youth, O how I yearn
when life was full of things to learn
I'd sneak around just like a sleuth
O how I yearn for days of youth
I'd chase young chicks into the trees
And jump the fence with grace and ease
Those back flips were such easy tricks
Into the trees I'd chase young chicks
I'd tease the koi fish in the pond
With squirrels I could never bond
I think they carry tons of fleas
The koi fish in the pond I'd tease
These days I spend my time inside
Requests to go outside denied
Arthritic bones just soak sun's rays
I spend my time inside these days
