When on Christ Peter's eyes were cast
he was able quite literally
to tread over the stormy sea
there at a place called Galilee;
But as swelling waves by him passed
his focus from off the Savior turned.
Still while the waters so did churn
a valuable lesson was learned.
Just as he was about to drown
the Lord extended out His hand,
and while bringing him again to stand,
Christ spoke words of great reprimand.
Times when I feel I'm going down,
Jesus' words echo in my ears
all so eloquently and so clear
and my faith overcomes my fears.
