Frowning, he followed a trail of them inside.   “What’s all this?”   Melanie, his wife of thirty years, beamed up at him.   “I found the tickets to Tahiti! It’s wonderful!”   Trent swallowed hard. He’d so wanted this conversation to go differently – to let her down easily about Emily.
