Truth and Fantasy : The 40 Day Cruise by Bucketlist |
It's said we all have a double Somewhere in the world But the critters didn't have to search Noah was directed to take them all, two by two, to safety from the flood Aboard the boat named the ARC. Well, 'opposites attract' means behind The other person's looks. "You're just like me" each pair declared "We are so identical" But once on the crowded Arc The tension began to count As any couple can tell you Not enough personal time then bickering will mount "There's not much space," Groaned the the elephant's wife "I told you to book extra space don't just stand there, move!" "Huh!", said the giraffe indignantly "How can I reach down easily Into the hull to eat, when All these critters crowd the space And get in the way of my feet?" "That's too funny", the Hyenas cackled. The pigs were happy in ‘doo' doo‘ The skunks protested that others tried To stay away from their 'heavenly' scent Then it became a problem when the elephants tried to move "You should be on a diet," the cows mooood "This is udderly ridiculous" "We're sinking!" Shrieked the animals in the bow As the zebras began to slide. "Stop swaying" commanded the sheep "You're making us dizzy and I feel sick" There was no place to go The Arc swayed to and fro Too many animals packed on the boat All needing something diverse The forty days then became a curse. It became a gripe session Discontent of other animals' ways Which soon turned into accusations Between couples lacking personal space Individuality appeared as irritation And bickering filled the days
