I went looking for a bit of fluff,
some lightweight fun to share.
Where will I look for a bit of fluff?
My pockets are oh-so-bare.
I’m still looking for a bit of fluff –
I’ve searched but I’m unable.
At last! I found a bit of fluff –
there is some in my navel.
I looked further for a bit of fluff –
dust bunnies under my bed.
Now you’ve read my bit of fluff –
I found more in my head!
Please, don’t try to suck it up
with your clever vacuum cleaner...
the insulation keeps my brain
warmer and much keener.
Fluffy stuff will fill the gaps
life’s knocked the stuffing out of.
So here’s my poem about boring bits –
a winner, I’ve no doubt of.
Yet you may like a bit of fluff
that is just not like this.
These contests bring out lots of fluff –
it’s all so hit and miss.
