With loud rap music in my head,
my headphone Beats, a blazin’ red.
These new words make no jive with me.
What’s this about eternity?
My friend told me to listen close
to verses choppy and verbose.
The theme is what is buggin’ me.
What’s this about eternity?
So, who is Jesus Christ, this man,
that wants to lend a helpin’ hand.
What does sin have to do with me?
What’s this about eternity?
The rapper’s jumpin in my ear;
says God wants me to listen clear.
There’s been a way to be made free.
What’s this about eternity?
So, let me see, I’ll hang on tight,
through Jesus Christ I am made right.
Since sin has got no hold on me,
I’m gettin’ this eternity.

Author Notes
Please read this as if it were a rap.
We have begun our More European Forms class (taught by Jim ~ Pantygynt) and our first assignment was to write four Kyrielles. One about religion, then a story, a snapshot, and finally, one about Love. I hope to be sharing these over the coming days. Next up in class, a Kyrielle Sonnet... hmmmm.
